“It’s getting hot in here…” Week 3 College football betting is back and better than ever, and sportsbetting3.com has the latest schedule of matchups and football betting odds. This week also signifies the start of Week 2 NFL betting, which when taken in tandem with NCAA Football betting action, can make your weekend very interesting. Also, it’s a good excuse to lounge around on the couch (well, at least after the kids’ soccer games) and skip church on Sunday as you prepare your TV area to transform into NFL central, complete with chips and beer. Week 2 NFL betting and Week 3 college football betting only happens once all year, so you’d better make the most of it.
This weekend starts with a 7:30 PM EST Thursday opener between No. 14 Georgia Tech and No. 20 Miami Florida University. This is one of only a handful of football betting opportunities featuring a contest with two nationally ranked teams. Then, take a 24 hour pit stop until Friday at 9:00 PM EST, when No. 10 Boise State takes on Fresno State. This is a late one for most folks on the East coast, but remember, it is Friday, so you can sleep in the next day 😉 .
Saturday and Sunday comprise the bulk of football betting action, beginning with an amazing lineup of college football matchups that you can’t miss. Over 10 college games kickoff at 12:00 PM EST, just in time for lunch. Our favorite Saturday opener is No. 11 Ohio State Buckeyes against Toledo. It will be great to see what the (nearly) top 10 Buckeyes have planned. This should be a relatively easy win for them.
Then at 3:30 EST, the next wave of games commence. Tennessee will be playing No. 1 Florida, while No. 3 USC will be facing Washington. Take these top ranked teams as an easy 2 team parlay winner. You might not get paid a lot, but a win is a win either way you look at it. Also at 3:30 PM EST, No. 19 Nebraska takes on No. 13 Virginia Tech, a literal clash of the titans. These two top 20 teams should produce the most exciting action of the day, since they are closely ranked.
Over 20 more games will start at various other times in the afternoon on Saturday, with Hawaii at UNLV being the caboose at an 11:00 PM EST red-eye game. Meanwhile, No. 2 Texas takes on Texas Tech at 8:00 PM EST, a much more reasonable hour for college football. No. 2 Texas should bring this one home without too much trouble.
Let’s not forget about NFL football betting on Sunday and Monday. NFL Football starts with 9 games on the card at 1:00 PM EST, then 5 games at 4:15 PM EST, and the final game at 8:20 PM EST between the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys. This final game of the day is actually the most heralded of this weekend. The notorious rivalry between the Giants and Cowboys is legendary in football, and since it’s the only night game, you can rest assured your coverage will be uninterrupted. Other fan favorites include the New England Patriots and New York Jets at 1:00 PM EST, Carolina Panthers at Atlanta Falcons at 1:00 PM EST, and Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears, starting at 4:15 PM EST.
Bringing up the rear this week is the Monday Night Indianapolis Colts at the Miami Dolphins matchup, beginning at 8:30 PM EST. Take the Colts in this one for an easy winner: the Dolphins will have a tough time against Peyton Manning’s rocket arm. The versatile Colts are easily considered one of the top 5 teams in the league.
