We have quite a few competitive races in the NFL as we head into Week 13 of the season. The week begins in Foxboro, Massachusetts, with the Buffalo Bills, the AFC leader in point differential. They take on the New England Patriots, who struggle to consistently play strong football in all three phases of the game. This contest will be a great way to start off the week and will be an important part of the AFC East race, one of three important divisional races that are very close.

AFC East
We already discussed the AFC East-favorite Bills (-225 division title odds) and last-place Patriots (+3000). Josh Allen is one the best quarterbacks in the NFL, but his UCL injury is hindering him. Mac Jones and his ailments have hurt him this season and contributed to the struggling Patriots offense. However, let us get into the dark horse Miami Dolphins (+250). Mike McDaniel and Tua Tagovailoa have the Dolphins playing tremendous football. The New York Jets (+1200) are just one game out of first place, and Mike White is looking strong at the quarterback position, so this could be anyone’s race.
AFC North
The Baltimore Ravens (-250 divisional crown odds) are tied with the Cincinnati Bengals (+210) atop the AFC North, and they each have three wins at home and four wins on the road. They have played very similarly on paper this season, with similar points scored, points against, and point differential. However, it is a pressure-laden season for Lamar Jackson, who needs to prove himself. Meanwhile, Joe Burrow is looking to build on his 2021 AFC Championship season. Deshaun Watson is back for the Browns (+2500), and the Steelers (+6600) are playing decent football, but it will be a difficult road for both of them at 4-7.
NFC South
Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-350 NFL South division odds) are 5-6 and are shockingly leading the division. However, the Atlanta Falcons (+700), New Orleans Saints (+800), and Carolina Panthers (+1600) all actually have a chance at the division in one of the oddest races in a while. The 2022 NFC South race is reminiscent of the 2014 Panthers winning the division at 7-8-1, but they fell to the Seattle Seahawks in the divisional round, 31-17. Can it be the Panthers again taking the division? We will have to see, but remember that the seven-ringed Brady is in the division, and it makes sense that he is the favorite.
