PSG has banged in 10 goals over its first two games. That has led the 10-time Ligue 1 champions as -2000 favorites with no one else particularly close in the odds. Anyone looking to take a look at betting the league in the futures market would be better served as looking for which team’s will qualify for the UEFA Champion’s League.

Ligue 1’s top three teams will play in the UCL, so there will be two spots available if PSG continues its dominance. With Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar in the lineup, it’s hard to imagine anyone catching PSG.

Stade Rennes, +275

Now may be a good time to buy low on Stade Rennes. The Red and Blacks have stumbled out of the gate, earning from point from their first two matches. Stade Rennes, which is currently 16th in the standings, was thought to be a possible challenger for PSG before the season started. Before the season, Stade Rennes upgraded at goaltender by bringing in Steven Mandanda at goalkeeper.

The Red and Blacks also added Joe Rodon in the central defense. Buying low on Stade Rennes may be a good option as the team hasn’t found its offensive mojo yet, scoring just one goal in the first two games.

AS Monaco +160

As Monaco has gotten off to a strong start to the season. Monaco drew Stade Rennes and beat Strasbourg Alsace 2-1. There is a real sense of urgency for ASM as the season rolls along. Monaco hasn’t qualified for the UCL since 2018-19. During the 2021-22 season, ASM lost in a playoff to Shakhtar Donetsk that relegated them to the Europa League.

Monaco added Takumi Minamino and Breel Embolo in the offseason. Embolo has  already proven his worth, scoring Monaco’s only goal during the 1-1 tie with Stade Rennes Aug. 13.

OGC Nice +600

Nice decided to add several key pieces during the offseason to bolster the roster. Kasper Schmeichel and Aaron Ramsey added needed depth. Alexis Beka Beka, Rares Illie and Mattia Viti will add young blood to the roster.

Nice has been able to grab two points in the first two games to sit 12th in the standings. OGC will need to grab some victories to qualify for a spot in the UCL.

Olympique Lyon, +100

Lyon won an ugly game 2-1 to open the season before having its second game postponed. With no European competition to focus on, Lyon can focus on grabbing a spot in the top three.  The Kids were active in the offseason, adding Johann Lepenant and Nicolas Tagliafico.

During the season opener, Lyon won its match that was marred by two red cards, one for each team, against AC Ajaccio. Alexandre Lacazette scored on a penalty in the 22nd minute for the game-winning goal. Tete scored Lyons’ first goal in the 12th minute.
